Rumors about this new BlackBerry 9670 has been out for quite awhile, and we’ve been looking forward to it for some time now. Today, finally the beauty shows face. Although not officially, we can still get a peek anyway. As rumor has, this new BlackBerry 9670 will be rocking CDMA, and as you can see from the (not very clear) photo here, it has a cute new clamshell design.
Well, this is an quite interesting day. First we seen some shots of OS 6.0 and now we get an up close look at the BlackBerry 9670. This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a new clamshell design from Research In Motion but it is the first sighting of the long on the table device. As we know it, the specs for this one are rather interesting with what may be a few surprises to some out there.
Specs in list:
1, 5 Mega Pixel Camera
2, CDMA Radio Bands
3, 360×480 Screen Resolution
4, WiFi
5, MicroUSB Slot
6, MicroSD Internal Storage Slot
7, Massive External Display
8, OS 6.0 Ready
Other than those few items, details are still kind of slim. While we have a model number already, we’re led to believe this is what is also referred to as the BlackBerry “oxford.” Clearly, the BlackBerry 9670 is not a completed device and to judge by these pics might be selling it a little short. So what do you all think?
Personally, I think it is still too early to say how fabulous the phone will be, after all we still don’t know anything detail. But the clamshell design is quite new to BlackBerry, and it’s pretty cute, I’d say the BlackBerry 9670 is a phone we can really look forward to! Let’s just wait…

BlackBerry Smartphone is the best seller in the United States, mostly for its low-price, smart functions and good feels in hand. However now it might also be its high solution display and elegancy.
Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Bold 9700 ($200 with a two-year T-Mobile contract) is the finest BlackBerry to date, combining the best of the BlackBerry Tour 9630 and the BlackBerry Bold 9000 in a slim and refined package. People looking for a major update to the original Bold might be disappointed, but BlackBerry fans will appreciate the handset’s subtle design tweaks and upgrades.
Measuring 4.3 by 2.4 by 0.6 inches, the 9700 is much more pocketable than the colossal 9000 (which measured 4.5 by 2.6 by 0.6 inches). The new handset is lighter, as well, weighing 4.2 ounces (down from 4.8 ounces). Though the leatherette back is still present, it’s minimized on this new version–a good thing. (I’m just not a fan of fake leather on a phone.)
On the right spine are the volume rocker and the camera shutter/convenience key (a function key that you can program to open any app of your choice). On the left side you’ll find another convenience key as well as the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port. Lock and mute buttons are at the top of the device. Below the display sits the familiar row of hardware buttons we’ve become accustomed to seeing on BlackBerrys: Talk, Menu, Back, and End/Power.
The same black and silver look just a little more exquisite with more good stuff inside, this might be your dream phone!
