Mesa Info BoothToday we use phones to do a lot of things besides making calls, generally, get information, have some entertainments. In order to do those, you might have to installed quite a lot apps on your phone, which can be really annoying when you don’t have enough disk space, or you just hate to have so many apps for one purpose. Well, now the solution comes up with this amazing app, Mesa Info Booth.

Mesa Info Booth is a free Java ME (J2ME) application for cell phones and PDAs. With Mesa Info Booth, you can check up-to-date weather information and forecast for your location, read all kinds of news with optional photos, check stock price, market news, and company headlines, look up new words with online dictionary for many languages (e.g. English, Spanish, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Russian, Portugese, Arabic, etc.), get TV & Movie news, recommendation, box office, and sport news and scores. Mesa Info Booth also includes several popular games for you to relax or kill time.

So basically, it’s a ‘one for all’ app, almost all your needs on cellphone can be satisfied by this one single app! Compact and functional, but pity that right now it only supports most of Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones.

Valentine ThemeWell, though there’s still several weeks before Valentine’s day we’ve already started to feel the love spread in the air, people are starting to take actions for the one holiday. Since you all frequently check on our phones, why not take the first step with your phone? So today Cellphone Sidekick here to share this beautiful festival theme with you!

It’s a Symbian S60v3 Theme, so you can use it on most of the smartphones today, like Nokia. Well, the theme is colored with red, and featured at the shape of hearts, really beautiful and festival, and there’re some little details which is even more adorable, for example, the heart shaped clock place on the left-top, as we’re used to take out our phone to get the time, so this one will definitely be exposed pretty much, brings you a lot of love. This theme can even be a little pre-present for your loved one, let him/her feel your love everywhere! I think details are the best part of this theme, so why don’t you try it out yourself!

Nokia 7230In the sea of smartphones, I am getting a little lost, wondering about the significant difference between all these phones. Actually, are we using the sames phone in deed? So, what I mean is I’m a little tired of touchscreen phones, therefore I’m coming up with this today!

Nokia has just announced the new slider phone – Nokia 7230 with colorful looks and solid set of features at a very affordable price. To be released sometime in Q1 of 2010, the Nokia 7230 will have a price tag of around EUR 100. The Nokia 7230 offers quick access to various social networking communities as well as great photo capturing features thanks to its 3.2 megapixel camera. Photos you’ve taken can be viewed on its 2.4-inch display. The Nokia 7230 also provides fast 3G connectivity as well as quick access to email and instant messaging.

A nice feature of the Nokia 7230 is an illuminating light that tells you if you have miss calls or incoming messages from your friends. The Nokia 7230 also supports Nokia Ovi store, giving you quick access to media sharing sites such as Ovi Share, Flickr, Facebook and more.

Additional features of the Nokia 7230 includes an FM radio, MP3 and AAC ringtones, Bluetooth, phonebook with a maximum of 2,000 entries and support for Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging as well as MMS. And it also comes with a TFT screen. So this is another Nokia Mobile Entertainment Handset, as the band goes in this area, you know you can count on this little cutie.

As the most important things for a phone – to make calls anywhere, the Nokia 7230 is a WCDMA 850/1900/2100 and 900/1900/2100 phone and also supports GPRS/EGPRS network connectivity. It provides you with up to 14.3 days stand by time and 4.1 hours talk time. It runs S40 mobile platform. The Nokia 7230 comes with a 2GB microSD card.

So, how do you like it? Quite tempting to me, round corners, cute look, nice features…Really a good choice if you’re not really fond of touchscreen phones.

Nokia

Speaking of Nokia we all know that they make nice phones that serve us well and their phones are the best seller all over the world. Today I’m going to show you something different, Nokia cares about the environment!

Well-known for a sustainable use, Nokia has been widely popular through the world. As such a big company they sort of have to care about what the public care! So now they’re coming with this  new product, a green phone that features a recyclable use, would make you love Nokia much more. Every part of the new phone is made from recycled Aluminum; A capacitive sensor is built onto the keyboard to simplify the phone; Electronic ink is adopted to display words so as to save more energy. In addition, the phone also uses silver-zinc batteries rather than the regular lithium batteries, to reduce electronic wastes.

From the picture here, I really can’t tell how pretty it is. But as we always say “Beautiful on the inside”, just remember that we’re saving the world by using a green phone!

Nokia E72

Cellphones are always used for communications from long ago, and now they’re used for entertainments and businesses too. And also they can in some extent show your taste of life. So be careful choosing your cellphone.

We have to admit to a major sin –none of us happens to be a sworn business user that wakes up to the ringing of the Wall street´s opening bell, spends hours following Dow Jones and intently watches Bloomberg before going to bed. Still, we aren’t blind, spot the tools that modern business people are armed with and appreciate the proper ones. One of the devices that really impressed us last year was the Nokia E71 and the handset has earned its place in the market. What we have in our hands now is the successor to this particular business tool, namely the Nokia E72. In reality, it retains everything we loved about the E71 and adds several improvements like 5-megapixel camera, 600MHz processor (the E71 is equipped with a 369Hz one), twice the amount of ROM (512MB), accelerometer and 3.5mm jack.

Its design and proper build quality are not just equally great, but improved on. The handset comes within a leather case that makes carrying around the device safer, because it does protect it from getting scratched. Besides, the box contains a charger, headset, USB cable, hand strap and user guide. The other important qualitie of the Nokia E72 that we love best is its dainty design. This is truly appealing business-oriented cell phone that comes with compact size, but emanates reliability.

So, is this your idea of a tasteful cellphone?
