Luxor to Sell $1 Million Egypt-Inspired PhoneLuxurious phones made of gold are now quite not breaking news any more after so many luxury ones we’ve already seen, but the Luxor one is really something gorgeous and breathtaking. Sold for $1 Million, the Luxor Egypt-Inspired Phone is obviously not just astonishingly expensive, it is actually strikingly beautiful, elegant and luxury to every single detail!

High-end devices costing thousands of dollars have been increasingly developed in the last several years. In 2008, Vertu, the largest luxury phone maker, teamed up with French jewelry house Boucheron to create a gold phone, carved from a solid block, priced at $30,000.

Fashion houses such as Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Prada, and even Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer, have all released their own phones in an attempt to use their brand to add additional revenue streams.

In June, Gresso introduced a $3,500 version of the iPhone 4.

Luxor Las Vegas said it plans to sell an “Egypt-inspired” phone, made from 18-carat gold with black diamonds, costing $1 million.

The Las Vegas-based hotel and casino said its “Jackpot” phone, designed by luxury phone maker Gresso, is crafted from 6.3 ounces of pure gold, encrusted with 45.5-carats of black diamonds and features a back panel made of 200-year-old African Blackwood. In addition, each key is cut from a single hand-polished sapphire crystal.

Luxor said the Jackpot — and a cheaper version without diamonds, which cost $20,000 — is expected to go on sale in August. Luxury phones are really not for use, they’re just for admiring, even if I can afford (which is clearly a day dream), I just can’t imagine myself talking to my friends via a piece of gold and diamonds!

The Chanel cell phoneAlthough Chanel does makes long ranges of products, but this still sounds a little crazy, a Chanel phone? Really?! Well, might not that unbelievable since we all have seen the Prada phone, but this Chanel cell phone is actually a concept back in 2008, it’s early and it’s gorgeous!

What’s this, you ask? Another expensive cellphone that I’ll never be able to afford? Well yes, but in this case it’s actually quite desirable. Just looking at this sleek silver square makes my mouth water (matching Chanel tattoo not included). The phone is called the ‘Chanel Choco’, and is designed by Fred de Garihe. So far Chanel haven’t given the project their seal of approval, but when they see the pictures (and Hu-uuuge copyright infringement) they’ll probably start to take note (we do hope so actually).

The phone is designed to be a ‘dream of the future as well as fashion statement’. It’s not really that far fetched anymore, what worth the ludicrously priced Nokia Arte, and phones by Levi and Prada. The phone is designed to work by an optical fiber system. This would display images between the lass parts through 12 micro lighter fibers. It looks absolutely stunning, and I can only hope this concept actually goes into mainstream production as I’d definitely want one.

Yes, even if this do goes to production I still won’t be able to get one of my own, but there’s hope that this design will really go into mainstream production, and then we all can have one of this little gorgeous. Cheers!

LG and VersaceYes, LG is really busy hopping in the fashion world, and we sort of like the combination of phones and high fashion. As we reported about their first fashion phone teamed up with Prada not long ago, here’s one breaking news on LG’s new move: It looks like LG shun Prada and cuddle up to Versace!

Oh, the fickle world of high fashion! It was only a short while ago that LG teamed up with Prada to create the original Prada phone and its sequel, the Prada II, but in what the tabloid press would call a ’shocking snub’, the Korean firm has seemingly abandoned the designer brand in favour of Versace.

The result is the Versace Unique, but all is not what it seems, as LG has not gone all the way with Versace as the Unique carries an inscription reading ‘Technology by LG’, as the handset is the work of French manufacturer ModeLabs. Modelabs are no stranger to the fashion phone world, having worked with Levi’s, Tag Hauer and Dior before, but this is the first product to come from their new partnership with LG.

The hand-built Unique is wrapped in leather and has a 3″ sapphire crystal touchscreen, plus customers will have the choice of a stainless steel or 18k gold inserts, while on the tech front the phone will be 3G with a 5 megapixel camera, Dolby Mobile and the usual media and business applications. Such overtly geeky information such as the OS, processor or storage capacity has not been discussed, but we doubt the target market for a phone like this really cares!

The price will no doubt be astronomical, but with that name and label prominently displayed, we imagine it’ll do quite well in the right circles. The Versace Unique is due to go on sale in June and you’ll have to visit, according to the press release, ‘important exclusive watch and fine jewelry networks’ and Versace boutiques only to buy one.

It looks like the fashion world is really quite easy on the Korean firm. As they always dedicated to make phones of slick and fashionable looks other than functional phones, LG’s move on teaming up with high fashion brand is not a real surprise, but the change of from Prada to Versace so quickly is! And since I never had a thing for this Korean phone maker, let’s just say lucky that LG doesn’t get to really make the Versace Unique.

Papillon, the CELSIUS X VI II mechanical tourbillon cellphoneAs we always say, an elegant mechanical watch is the best way to show your wealth and also to show your taste of life! On the other hand, besides the fact that our life relies a lot on our cellphones today, cellphones are really can’t be called as elegant, they’re convenient, beautiful, modern… but not elegant, doesn’t seem tasteful either, even the blinged ones. But now ready to change your mind, we’re going to introduce you this extravagant one that do is elegant and do shows a high taste.

Remember, we’ve earlier told you about the world’s first mechanical cellphone, the upcoming launch of the Papillon. Aka. the CELSIUS X VI II mechanical tourbillon cellphone, which is inspired by the high-end Swiss watches and is wisely designed to merge the amazing mechanical movement of a high-end watch into this phone.

And if you thought it was merely a concept, the real shots of the concept have emerged to validate its design. The phone is made with 547 mechanical parts, and it features a tourbillon in its hinge. The unique combination uses a patented Remontage Papillon mechanism that mimics butterfly movement, and is activated when the wings are unfolded. The phone will operate solely through human energy and is touted as an entirely mechanical cellphone. This luxurious watch-phone will be priced at approximately $275,000 and will make its debut at the upcoming Basel World watch fair in Switzerland, which made Swizerland an even better place to travel to.

I love the mechanical idea, it’s looks elegant, feels luxurious and it’s eco-friendly, it thinks elegant and green! And judging from the photo here, it’s truly beautiful, just hope it will work as well.

future phone - Mechanical cellphoneWe’ve talked really much about cellphones and I’ve said it many times that today’s phones look much alike and so are their functions. And I do believe many of you have the same feeling that cellphones today do need some more innovation and some real fresh air. So here it comes, the latest news from PCMag: Will mechanical cellphone be the phone of the future?

We have seen precious engineering and artful designs in exclusive timepieces with a bit of inspirational flavor around them, albeit the inspiration has commonly come from the finest automobiles. Those exquisite Swiss watches have been considered as a symbol of identity and status for a really long time, and we do admire the beauty! However, in the inspirational category it’s a rare prospect to see cellphones taking their inspiration from high-end watches, but it should come with no surprise to see these two industries crossing over at increasing frequency in the very near future.

Here’s a starter from a French company called Celsius X-VI-II which will unveil the Papillon, a $300,000 mobile phone that cites high-end Swiss watches as an inspiration for this ultra-luxury, a mechanical mobile phone. Armed with the most advanced micro-mechanics of any gadget have ever created, the phone also intended to operate mechanically through human energy. This handmade art masterpiece watch with more than 600 mechanical components takes its design inspiration from the butterfly. Priced at $300,000, the phone will be limited to just 50 units in two versions. To know more about the creation and to see the X-rayed photo come to life, Celsius X VI II plans to unveil the phone at the Basel World watch fair starting on March 18th. So, stay tuned!

We always love mechanical watches for their elegance and accurate, they just look gorgeous! And I believe this distinctive mechanical phone will look really gorgeous and most possibly starts a new era for cellphone. Well, let’s just sharpen our eyes!

Motorola V3i - Stainless Steel Gold with 855 DiamondsYes, luxury again. What would we do without it? What would life be like without it? I don’t know and I can’t assume, all I can say is that life would be more stainless, painless and on the other hand boring. Anyway, where to pick up our topics when luxury’s gone?!

Peter Aloisson, the luxury accessories maker who earlier enthralled us with his $1.3 million Diamond Crypto Smartphone, and diamond-encrusted Motorola KRZR models has now designed one for rappers, hip-hop artists and WWF wrestlers (now, that ’s our way of criticizing this over-blinged Gold version). This Motorola V3i – Stainless Steel Gold is studded with 855 diamonds weighing a total of 3.8 carats. The Gold Motorola V3i sells for £5000 or approx. $10,000.

Well, we don’t want it to be smart, we don’t want it to be graceful, we don’t want it to be beautiful…we just want it to be ‘RICH’! Good Luck, you rich folks!

Mobiado Classic 712ZAF mobile phoneCellphones are more than usually now, and we’d love to see some special unique ones. This is the true value and meaning of luxury industry, I guess, it brings ideas and creations, it actually lead the way of common fashion.

Known for bringing cutting-edge technology into the cell phone segment, the Canadian-based luxury phone maker Mobiado keeps up the brilliant work as they introduce their Classic 712ZAF mobile phone. Mobiado keeps the exterior dazzling with the polished and anodized aluminum frame, while the glimmering sapphire crystals can also be seen. However, for those who look for more than good looks, Mobiado supports the Classic 712ZAF with a 2.2 QVGA display, 5 megapixel camera with flash, integrated GPS, web browser, email support and a native music player. Available in six different colors: black, black satin, silver, gray, blue and red, however, no word on pricing for now.

It is obvious that we can’t all own a luxurious cellphone, but somehow we can admire the beauty and wait for it to come to regular phones from other phone makers, which always come ture, except for those luxury diamonds or crystals. Anyway, I love the look of the phone, and the polished and anodized aluminum frame must feels good too!
