Yes, LG is really busy hopping in the fashion world, and we sort of like the combination of phones and high fashion. As we reported about their first fashion phone teamed up with Prada not long ago, here’s one breaking news on LG’s new move: It looks like LG shun Prada and cuddle up to Versace!
Oh, the fickle world of high fashion! It was only a short while ago that LG teamed up with Prada to create the original Prada phone and its sequel, the Prada II, but in what the tabloid press would call a ’shocking snub’, the Korean firm has seemingly abandoned the designer brand in favour of Versace.
The result is the Versace Unique, but all is not what it seems, as LG has not gone all the way with Versace as the Unique carries an inscription reading ‘Technology by LG’, as the handset is the work of French manufacturer ModeLabs. Modelabs are no stranger to the fashion phone world, having worked with Levi’s, Tag Hauer and Dior before, but this is the first product to come from their new partnership with LG.
The hand-built Unique is wrapped in leather and has a 3″ sapphire crystal touchscreen, plus customers will have the choice of a stainless steel or 18k gold inserts, while on the tech front the phone will be 3G with a 5 megapixel camera, Dolby Mobile and the usual media and business applications. Such overtly geeky information such as the OS, processor or storage capacity has not been discussed, but we doubt the target market for a phone like this really cares!
The price will no doubt be astronomical, but with that name and label prominently displayed, we imagine it’ll do quite well in the right circles. The Versace Unique is due to go on sale in June and you’ll have to visit, according to the press release, ‘important exclusive watch and fine jewelry networks’ and Versace boutiques only to buy one.
It looks like the fashion world is really quite easy on the Korean firm. As they always dedicated to make phones of slick and fashionable looks other than functional phones, LG’s move on teaming up with high fashion brand is not a real surprise, but the change of from Prada to Versace so quickly is! And since I never had a thing for this Korean phone maker, let’s just say lucky that LG doesn’t get to really make the Versace Unique.

Smartphones are no news today, and we all have seen lots of interesting, beautiful smartphones, and neither is touchscreen anything new, but still a touchscreen smartphone is really worth a second look, and when it comes from the label LG, girls might really want to check it out, so here today we’re going to go through this LG Viewty GT generally.
Phone makers are falling over themselves to create great social-networking phones: Microsoft’s Kin; Nokia’s C3 – and mid-market phone veterans LG are jumping on the bandwagon releasing their LG Viewty GT exclusively on 3, which is on sale now.
We like the look of this touchscreen phone, not breathtakingly gorgeous but ordinarily beautiful indeed, though the biggest asset might just be the £15 a month deal.
Twitter and Facebook are built into the home screen, both available from one touch on the home screen. Skype is onboard and free as well.
Featuring 3.0″ resistive touch screen, a 5.0 Mega Pixel Auto Focus Camera and fast browsing with HSDPA 3.6. There is 60mb internal memory onboard and it comes with a stylus for more precise touch screen input. As for software, it features Muvee studio and photo editor and two customisable home screens.
The £14 a month contract on three includes 300 minutes of free talking, a mix of 300 minutes & texts to use how you like (anytime, any network) and unlimited internet. A good deal considering Skype is also free… but a 24 month contract. Also available on pay as you go.
Frankly, not a innovative smartphone, and quite ordinary look, but it is really quite convenient and thsi really is a social-networking smartphone which can basically make your social life more convenient and somehow easier to be connected, and that’s good. And the £14 a month contract is quite reasonable too.

Yes, here’s the question: Is your cellphone pink and girly? Or do you want to have a girly cellphone? We talked a lot about phones and most of the phones we talked about are classic black or white, and honestly nothing really girly…So I just feel like have to say something about girly pink phones.
One might have thought that pink phones are almost entirely bought by girls, and that boys love phones with loads of gadgets. Usually it’s true, however there are a few surprises. The Prada phone by LG, surely a shoe-in for the girliest phone award, is actually pretty popular among the guys! To be exact, almost 47% of all Pradas are in fact bought by fellas. And the LG Chocolate and Platinum Chocolate are big favourites with the ladies, who account for over 60% of all owners, and it’s no pink at all!
As a matter of fact, pink cellphones like this LG U8500 looks not pretty at all to me. I mean I would really love to see some pretty pink phones coming out to the market, thought not much yet! Maybe that’s why a large amount of girls are still stick with basic black mobile models. One thing I had to say, I think those cheap Chinese phones are really good too when it comes to pinky girly cellphones, you know, no brand but nice design and very cheap! Do you think so?
According to Dial-a-phone Blog, the award for the girliest cell phone manufacturer goes to Samsung (which I don’t think so, I’m stick to LG), whereas the Sony Ericsson had a higher percentage of male owners. Whatever, I’m just wondering how many of you would call your own phone ‘girly’?

I’m aware that iPhone’s all over the world, and women do love that. But what’s fun about everyone using the same phone? Since all women love to be special, here comes a nice phone especially made for fashionable women, the LG Prada, the combinations of LG the fashion-phone maker and Prada the well renowned fashion house.
Instead of a girly pink or bejeweled phone which screams for attention, this one is much more and different, I do like understated tastefulness that mingles fashion and femininity in equal measures. Design and colors aren’t the end game for us, the professional, hip and smart women of today want cell phones that also offer great functionality (as opposed to a ton of features) for not just work but also play. And this is it!
When it launched the Chocolate phone last year, LG established itself as a serious fashion-phone manufacturer. Gone are the days when the company made ugly lumps of plastic–now its mobile phones are synonymous with class and style. LG has in fact become so stylish that Prada, a fashion house rumored to have rejected many offers to make a co-branded phone in the past, has teamed up with it to create this new model.
The LG Prada is a very attractive, slim, candybar handset with a large color touchscreen that looks a tad like Apple’s iPhone. But, unlike many fashion phones on the market, it comes with a decent feature set. It was conceived by designers from both LG and Prada–Miuccia Prada herself was involved in its design. The LG Prada is expected to be available in April, but be warned: it will be popular, so getting your hands on one might be difficult.
To make a long story short, this is the phone I’ve ever wanted, elegant, powerful, playable. And you know what’s fun? Take out your Prada phone from your favorite Prada bag! Sounds great to me…
