Novero Victoria Collection's $100K+ Bluetooth JewelryBluetooth headset are definitely no news any more, even just here at cellphonesidekick.com we’ve seen lots of nice bluetooth headsets, and some of them are rather pretty. But this is really really totally different, actually this can really change my mind of how a bluetooth headset should look like! The Novero Victoria Collection’s $100K+ Bluetooth Jewelry is rather gorgeous than high tech.

When it comes to designing Bluetooth “headsets,” most companies work on the function first, and form follows afterwords. In the case of Novero, they do things just the opposite. They work on the design and fashion of their Bluetooth pieces first, and they worry about fitting in the technology afterwords. Unlike other electronics companies that throw on colors, designs, or crystals on to a Bluetooth earpiece, these Bluetooth accessories are truly designed from the ground up to be jewelry.

Believe it or not, Novero roots stem from the wireless accessory division at Nokia. Two years ago, the head of the division approached Nokia and requested to buy and severe the division off from the company in order to create Novero. Two years later the company is employing over 400 employees worldwide and reeling in in over 150 million dollars in profits, mostly from providing Bluetooth solutions for luxury clients like Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz. But the company doesn’t just employ engineers for making their Bluetooth accessories, they also employ people from the jewelry and fashion industry, including gold craftsman. That is why their new Victoria collection first and foremost looks like jewelry, and not technology. The pieces hardly resemble a Bluetooth headset at all, until you notice that a piece of the necklace can be discretely attached and placed in one ear when in use. Even the LED battery indicator is hidden on the backside of the product so that no on ever be the wiser that you’re a spy – or that you’re just a really big gadget fashionista.

Novero Victoria Collection's $100K+ Bluetooth Jewelry onThe new Victoria collection includes several contemporary Bluetooth jewelry pieces Like the Victoria Lapis, Victoria Pearl, Victoria Stripes, Victoria Wave, and Victor which will each retail for around $250 to $350 when they go on sale in the fall. And for those with real money to burn, they’ll also be offering the Premier Edition handmade pearl necklaces with several variations of pearls, diamond and gold. These necklaces will cost 6 figures at $100K plus.

Wow, totally WOW! Well, do you like this bluetooth jewelry? I think this is adorable enough just being a necklace, and the bluetooth headset is really an amazing plus!

Bang & Olufsen’s Earset 2 Bluetooth HeadsetBluetooth headsets, yes, we’ve talked about it quite a lot lately, and as you know people, we never get enough accessories, so we’re always looking for a better one. And this Bang & Olufsen’s Earset 2 Bluetooth Headset is really worth a second look.

Bang & Olufsen’s Earset 2 has a design that somewhat deviates from the kind of bluetooth headset we’re used to looking at. We’re not sure if we like it a lot or if it’s ugly.

But it’s not just looks that count after all, it’s the beauty on the inside that we’re after. T3 Magazine gave the Earset 2 a 5 star review, calling it “A treat for your ears.” Its .8 ounce weight, excellent voice reproduction and background noise canceling are ready to set a new standard. So if you’re looking for a top of the line quality bluetooth headset, this could be the one.

Personally I think the silver and black look is quite gorgeous, and I like, at least it’s something different. And functionally it is a very decent bluetooth headset. So, in general, this is a very nice bluetooth headset.

Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth HeadsetWe’ve talked about quite some bluetooth headsets lately, and some of them are really cute, looks totally cool in design. But this one here, it looks indeed not so charming, actually pretty ordinary. But like we always say, never judge a person form the clothing he wears, what’s inside is what really matters, and that’s this Plantronics Discovery 640 Bluetooth Headset is all about, it switches back & forth between two phones.

Plantronics is calling their Discovery 640 bluetooth headset the “ultimate bluetooth headset”. On the surface the Plantronics Discovery 640 looks like a pretty ordinary bluetooth headset, but it might just be the ultimate bluetooth headset after all since it’s capable of connecting to and switching back and forth between two bluetooth phones.

Aside from those special powers, it weighs only 1/2 an ounce, and it has a range of up to 33 feet. Plantronics Discovery 640 bluetooth headset retails for $74.99 at Amazon.

And in case you’re interested in this because you’re one of those folks who carry around two cell phones, Mobile Tech Review reviewed the Discovery 640 and gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating. You can totally check out the whole review for more details, if you’re seriously interested.

Pendand Style Pulsar 260 Stereo Bluetooth HeadsetWell, bluetooth headsets are always appreciated at my home, but I haven’t seen many good ones unfortunately. So when this Pendand Style Pulsar 260 Stereo Bluetooth Headset comes into my sight, it’s just the right time at the right place.

What can we say, we are demanding when it comes to headsets. We like them wireless, small and with high-quality stereo sound. The new pendant style Pulsar 260 Stereo Bluetooth headset certainly seems to fit the bill. The compact headset has a clip which easily attaches to pockets or straps, and it has ear phones made of contoured, soft silicone gel tips, which are unusual for a bluetooth headset. The 260 connects to your cell phone via bluetooth for calls, and it supports the A2DP bluetooth profile so that you can wirelessly listen to stereo music on your phone. It also comes with an audio-out cable for connecting to any standard 3.5 back for full playback on an external stereo device.

This Plantronics’ Pulsar 260 bluetooth headset retails for $109.95. Pretty reasonable for such a nice functional bluetooth headset.

NBA Bluetooth HeadsetThis summer is really sports season, the World Cup Matches are all over the TV, and of course the Internet too. But if you’re not really a football fan, it’s OK, you can still watch the NBA, and let’s celebrate the Lakers win with a NBA Bluetooth Headset.

If you’re a Lakers fan, then you’re probably having a great Friday. But before you spend money on a jersey, t-Shirt or some other ordinary Lakers merch, consider grabbing up a Lakers branded Bluetooth headset. Maybe you can wear it at the Lakers Parade? Or maybe not, since the Lakers Bluetooth headset and other similar NBA bluetooth headsets are available for presale only at the moment, and they will officially launch on July 4th from Earloomz. If anything, this NBA headset could make a great I.O.U. Father’s Day gift.

Well, this might not be the best bluetooth headset ever, nor the coolest, but this is the nicest for Lakers fans, and also for NBA fans.

Moshi Moshi iPhone Dock for iPhoneSince iPhone is so popular, no wander so many iPhone accessories are out on the market. We might not be able to decide which one is the best iPhone accessory, but we do can say that the iPhone dock is definitely the most useful iPhone accessory, and this Moshi Moshi’s MMo3i Retro Chic iPhone Dock & Bluetooth Headset is one of the best iPhone docks.

In design, the Moshi Moshi MMo3i is one of the slickest iPhone Bluetooth headsets we’ve ever laid eyes upon. We’re talking retro cool, meets modern aesthetics combined with modern technology.

The MMo3i was designed by French designer David Turpin. The device resembles an old school telephone handset, but at the end of its base there is a weighted recharging base for the iPhone to stand and charge on. The MMo3i is covered in a black or white high gloss texture, and features a high quality speaker and mic, along with Bluetooth 2.1 technology which lets you pair and answer calls on two different Bluetooth devices. On top of that, the headset also has a 3.5mm jack for connecting to speakers so that you can simultaneously play music from your iphone on the speakers.

The Moshi Moshi MMo3i from Native Union retails for HKD 1250.00 (about $161 USD). Well, that is a little expensive for an iPhone dock, but just take a look at it, so elegant and so nice, this is totally worth it.

Earloomz fashionable Bluetooth HeadsetsGive the consideration of we’re always busy and we love talking on phone with our friends, or sometimes we just have to make calls, and it has been said that it’s healthier to make calls using a bluetooth, so it is quite essential for us to get a bluetooth headset! Then the question is: Can we get a nice funny one?

When it comes to the bluetooth headset market, only until recently are companies starting to realize that style and color are becoming much more relevant and appreciated versus the traditional boring black headset with a boom mic. Earloomz is one such company that goes even beyond color choices, for their bluetooth headsets by fusing fashion, and pop culture with technology. Earloomz has hundreds of graphics and licensed images to choose from such as Lady Gaga, Betty Boop, the Godfather, Star Trek and more. So for those who thought this was just a skin you put on your bluetooth headset you would be wrong.  It’s actually fashion, a different lifestyle! Get a unique funny bluetooth headset and show your personality!

However, as much as I love Lady Gaga, I would probably never wear this as a bluetooth headset. Regardless, the concept is great and the more unique bluetooth headsets the merrier, I just hope the quality is as good as the imagery, for that’s what we really need for a blutooth headset. The Earloomz bluetooth headsets retail for $59.95 and they debuted at CES and will be on display at MacWorld.

Interesting, funny and hopefully functional, this is the blutooth headset we want, and we need! I love the Star Trek one, how about you?

Jawbone

We have recommended a bluetooth headset for iPhone before, in case you don’t like that one and want to choose one yourself, I am here to give some tips on choosing the best one for you. Hopefully this will really do some help!

First of all, you should avoid the Apple Bluetooth Headset. The iPhone itself is a marvel that never stop to fascinate you. Unfortunately the Apple Bluetooth headset is not what you are looking for: doesn’t have a volume control in the unit, nor call mute or last number redial. There is no noise-cancellation, the earpiece is too big, the battery can’t hold a charge and fails to deliver the full potential of the iPhone.

The number of Bluetooth headsets continues to grow rapidly making the choosing of a headset for your iPhone not so simple. Here’s our advice: Of all the brands, two are the leaders: Plantronics and Aliph.

1.Plantronics

In 1960 the speed and complexity of jet airliners caused a need for the introduction of small, lightweight headsets into the cockpit. Courtney Graham, a United Airline pilot, collaborated with his friend Keith Larkin to create a small, functional design which was robust enough to pass airlines standards. On May 18 1961 Graham and Larkin incorporate as Pacific Plantronics (now Plantronics Inc.) Ever after that the company keeps developing and still stands in the top of  the headsets industry.

2.Aliph

Aliph is a company founded by Alexander Asseily and Hosain Rahman. Aliph is the developer of the Jawbone Bluetooth headset which revolutionized the wireless industry with its noise elimination technology and innovative design. Jawbone uses “NoiseAssassin” adaptive signal processing technology that Aliph developed for DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), processing incoming and outgoing audio to reduce background noise in military environments. In 2007, the headset was awarded an International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award.

So now you may have the direction to find your Bluetooth headset for your iPhone. Better get going, you still have a lot of work to do before you can finally find the perfect one!

Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Blutooth Headset

If you’re a busy man, if you’d like to be hand-free when talking on iPhone, and if you don’t mind looking like a pretentious wanker and annoying the life out of everyone in earshot, a Bluetooth headset is a must-have accessory for your Apple iPhone. And this one “Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset” is the most popular one according to the people who’re familiar with the bluetooth headset.

According to the manufacturers, this particular headset comes with an “Advanced, military-grade noise-canceling system which continuously adapts to your environment.” So maybe this particular model will be useful in the wine bar, who knows? Especially if the wine bar is in Detroit.

For once, I am not offended by the way a gadget looks and if I was buying a Bluetooth headset, I would probably allow myself to be persuaded to buy this one just because it was originally developed for DARPA (The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) to create a communication headset that would pick up voice in hostile environments. How could you resist? Bring on the explosions and sound of machine-gun-fire. Available in red, black or grey – disappointingly no khaki camouflage available. Maybe next year.
