The iPhone 4 has been out for quite awhile now, if you are one of those who love to use the iPhone just like a small iPad, then here’s a great new for you all: the Vodafone offers iPhone 4 on Pay As You Go!
Vodafone is to offer the iPhone 4 on a Pay As You Go tariff. Also adding in a few extra incentives up until November this year, Pay As You Go iPhone 4 Vodafone customers can enjoy one year’s worth of data which will be capped at 250MB a month in addition to one year’s access to BT Openzone Wi-Fi, set at 1GB a month.
Vodafone have launched the Pay As You Go option as a reaction to customer needs; with many people preferring the flexibility that PAYG systems offer. Mark Bond the Consumer Director of Vodafone has also stated that there will be further options and incentives introduced later this year.
Of course, the main disadvantage of PAYG is the hefty cost of buying the phone which when on contract, is usually offered for free. The 16GB PAYG iPhone 4 through Vodafone will cost you £480, whilst the 32GB version will set you back a whopping £570. If you’re still a lover of the iPhone 3GS, this will cost you £385 on the Vodafone PAYG deal.
Yes, quite pricey, but if you use the iPhone like a smaller iPad, (like browsing the web a lot, or downloading things quite often on the iPhone 4) then you might find the contract thing actually quite reasonable.

SMS is not just a mean of communication today, especially to the youth, it is like almost a lifestyle! As we always love to have fun in life, SMS should be a little more fun too, so here comes the SMS Slingshot, which can send your text messages onto walls. This is totally fun, and quite beautiful too.
I always thought of slingshot as a toy especially created for naughty boys, as we often saw young boys sending stones or balls onto girls or birds. But the SMS Slingshot designed by Berlin based VR/URBAN has totally changed my opinion.
It is a handheld digital slingshot device that can send color splashes and text messages onto public screens. There’s a mobile built in the wooden device to store messages and a laser to blast those contents onto nearby screens via a projector. So just as what you can see from the photos below, the user keys in the messages, shoots the slingshot, and then he/she can find a color splash appear on the screen with the text inside.
So the slingshot is now not just a mean toy for naughty boys, it is a fun toy for all of us! Hopefully you’ll enjoy it!

Yes, I know we talked about the Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro in our earlier post. But this is different, well not much different, but it now comes out in white, and it’s beautiful! You know Sony Ericsson cellphones, they’re always beautiful and enjoyable, and the Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro makes no exception, is a great phone for daily use!
The x10 mini is a scaled-down version of Sony Ericsson’s flagship phone – the X10. The strapline is “Mini but Mighty” and it does pack a lot of power in its 90 x 52 x 17 mm frame. It’s a slider handset with a 5 megapixel camera and a high speed internet receiver built over an Android operating system, giving you access to all those apps.
The handsets have a reputation as great camera and video phones, though the user interface can be a bit counter-intuitive.
Anyway white is The Thing apparently. They tell us: ”The timeless fashion pallet dominated the collections this summer with everyone from Stella McCartney, Fendi and Calvin Klein featuring dazzling white ensembles. The fashion elite are also well aboard the white wagon.”
There you go. That’s why you should really get a white phone this summer. This white Sony Ericsson X10 mini pro is totally adorable and fashionable, totally the white phone you should have to go along with all your fashionable outfits! And also, it makes a great cellphone for daily use and for entertainment.

Blackberry smartphones are the best selling business phones in US. Many people use the Blackberry phones because they’re really good at what they’re doing, and we’re quite used to their trackball design and shape too. However lately Blackberry comes out with quite a lot new ideas, like the optical trackpad, the touchscreen thing, and now even a slide-out keyboard…
Want to see how these are working out? Well, that’s a “WOW”, the news are that this new slider touchscreen Blackberry – The Torch 9800 will launches in US soon.
It has a slider keyboard and a full touchscreen and it is the latest gadget in Blackberry’s redoubtable range of business phones. The Torch was unveiled yesterday and will go on sale in the US on AT&T from 12th August. Features of the new flagship phone include the Blackberry OS 6.0. The new operating system will be rolled out to other handsets but the Torch will be the first phone to carry it.
The Torch features a 3.2″ touch screen with 480×360 pixel color display. The unusual feature is the slide-out QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad.
The key features of the new Blackberry operating system are: a new “PC-like” web browser. It renders pages “beautifully” apparently, with tabbed browsing for access to multiple web pages at the same time and pinch-to-zoom capability and – secondly – a Universal Search tool.
The new device is geared to take advantage of your media resources elsewhere, so it syncs to iTunes, Windows Media Player DRM-Free music, photos and videos on the go from your computer to your BlackBerry. Sync from your home computer music library to your BlackBerry can be done wirelessly over Wi-Fi.
And based on the picture above, the Torch 9800 looks nice too, a very beautiful design. Although I do adore the traditional Blackberry look, this phones looks really cool and nice, so maybe it is time to make a change. The phone’s launching in the US first on the 12th August, for more information you can check out the AT&T pages.

All girls love butterflies, and some man too. But I’ve never thought of having a butterfly as my cellphone, well this is beautiful idea though. Maybe it’s just to fancy to be true, but now here’s this real beautiful idea from a 15 year old.
I made my first documentary when I was 13, so I’m not entirely shocked by the idea that the Butterfly mobile phone concept was designed by a 15 year old – and looks better and has more sensible design principles than most stuff coming out nowadays. Using existing tech such as Bluetooth and touchscreens (unlike many concepts which are doomed to remain concepts for lack of tech) and sporting an impressively polished interface, this is definitely my favourite non-existent phone to date.
Wow, I’ll just wait till this finally hit the market and run to get one of mine!

The World Exposition is right now going on at Shanghai China, and people are having fun there. So would like to go to? However some people just don’t get the break. Well, if you’re like me who’s stuck in work, you might like something Chinese to stand on your desk, that’s fun and cute, and helps you to feel the Chinese style.
And here’s interesting news: the Chinese scroll cellphone is totally hot!
Why, when pulling out your cell phone, do you always have to look like an extra on Star Trek using a communicator? Why not unfurl your phone instead! Yun Liang has devised a concept for a chinese scroll cellphone. The numeric functions are on the side of the scroll so you don’t need to unroll the scroll to make a call.
This is totally beyond retro-chic into medieval-chic. Sadly we still have to wait a long time till this actually hit the market.

Bluetooth headset are definitely no news any more, even just here at cellphonesidekick.com we’ve seen lots of nice bluetooth headsets, and some of them are rather pretty. But this is really really totally different, actually this can really change my mind of how a bluetooth headset should look like! The Novero Victoria Collection’s $100K+ Bluetooth Jewelry is rather gorgeous than high tech.
When it comes to designing Bluetooth “headsets,” most companies work on the function first, and form follows afterwords. In the case of Novero, they do things just the opposite. They work on the design and fashion of their Bluetooth pieces first, and they worry about fitting in the technology afterwords. Unlike other electronics companies that throw on colors, designs, or crystals on to a Bluetooth earpiece, these Bluetooth accessories are truly designed from the ground up to be jewelry.
Believe it or not, Novero roots stem from the wireless accessory division at Nokia. Two years ago, the head of the division approached Nokia and requested to buy and severe the division off from the company in order to create Novero. Two years later the company is employing over 400 employees worldwide and reeling in in over 150 million dollars in profits, mostly from providing Bluetooth solutions for luxury clients like Bentley, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz. But the company doesn’t just employ engineers for making their Bluetooth accessories, they also employ people from the jewelry and fashion industry, including gold craftsman. That is why their new Victoria collection first and foremost looks like jewelry, and not technology. The pieces hardly resemble a Bluetooth headset at all, until you notice that a piece of the necklace can be discretely attached and placed in one ear when in use. Even the LED battery indicator is hidden on the backside of the product so that no on ever be the wiser that you’re a spy – or that you’re just a really big gadget fashionista.
The new Victoria collection includes several contemporary Bluetooth jewelry pieces Like the Victoria Lapis, Victoria Pearl, Victoria Stripes, Victoria Wave, and Victor which will each retail for around $250 to $350 when they go on sale in the fall. And for those with real money to burn, they’ll also be offering the Premier Edition handmade pearl necklaces with several variations of pearls, diamond and gold. These necklaces will cost 6 figures at $100K plus.
Wow, totally WOW! Well, do you like this bluetooth jewelry? I think this is adorable enough just being a necklace, and the bluetooth headset is really an amazing plus!

The most hit phone in America lately will definitely be the iPhone 4, but besides for those hardcore iPhone lovers, some people just don’t get this thing about iPhone. And for those people BlackBerry is perfection, and the BlackBerry Bold 9560 is totally another hit phone lately. Being out for just a month, the BlackBerry Bold 9560 already gets touched by ColorWare.
The BlackBerry Bold 9650 just launched less than a month ago and it already is getting a new dash of color from ColorWare. You can colorize the inner back, outer back, top, bottom, frame, and sides. This time around ColorWare won’t be selling these directly. So you will have to send it in if you want to get all fancy, also you will need $150 bucks.
If you don’t want a black BlackBerry any more, you can now “paint” it with ColorWare, just enjoy the fun! I really like the fire color for this hit cell phone!

The iPhone undeniably is a milestone in smartphone history, Apple has really made a generation with it, and now here comes the iPhone 4, a new generation of iPhone, and a new generation of all smartphones. If you haven’t read a lot about this new iPhone already, then let’s have a quick look at the new iPhone 4 with iOS 4 together.
First of all, since the iPhone 3GS resembles the iPhone 3G so much, I just want to give you a heads up that the iPhone 4 is drastically different from the iPhone 3G or 3GS, it’s literally the new generation of iPhone.
To start, it has an all new design features a sheet of glass on the front as well as the rear. Having glass on the rear means that it is scratch resistant. The edges are aluminum and act as the antenna for the WiFi, Bluetooth, and cellular radios. The iPhone 4 is the thinnest smartphone available at 9.3mm, but is a bit heavier than the iPhone 3GS. The display has such high resolution, that each pixel is nearly the width of a human hair. This makes for a super smooth image that is many times clearer than what you’ll find on any smarpthone. The resolution is 960×640. Most high end smartphones like the Google Nexus One or EVO 4G have resolutions of 800×480. The iPhone 4 has two cameras. The camera on the front is used for the FaceTime video chat feature. The camera on the rear is 5MP with an LED flash, and can also record 720p video.
Sounds to me, this is really the most impressive smartphone for both entertainment and communication! The new iPhone ships with iOS 4 and is going to be available on June 24, and you can get the 16GB model for $199 and the 32GB model for $299, with a contract of course. Let’s just wait and see if it is really that good as the official said “It’ll change everything again”.
