Snoopy x Katoon CellphoneDon’t know if you have noticed the trend for cartoon or not, I really see lots of cartoon factors in fashion lately, and graffiti arts too. Personally I love cartoons, I love watch comics and cartoon movies, so I really like the cartoon trend. And I’m more than happy to have some cartoon factors on my cell phone.

Well, if you’re like me, then you might find the Snoopy x Katoon Cellphone which is made to celebrate the 60 years of Snoopy, just perfect.

Who doesn’t love Snoopy? Well apparently those in Asia do because they have released the Snoopy x Katoon Dual SIM Card Cellular phone. This commemorative edition phone celebrates 60 years of Snoopy. It is extremely hard to find any information on the actually manufacturers of this phone – ‘Katoon’. But I will give them credit for the unique packaging and creativity that went in to this phone. The set includes 5 different face plates all depicting versions of Snoopy from the last 60 years. The phone features a Peanuts centric menu system, and also includes a Snoopy branded case, earbuds, and even wall charger. The whole collection comes inside a beautiful box with a ‘Celebrate Snoopy 60 Years’ bag.

And as for functionality, it has got common specs we can usually find on a smartphone. Such as follows:
Frequency: GSM 850/900/1800/1900
Camera: 2.0 MP
Video: MPEG4/3GP
Sound Alert Types: 64 Polyphonic Ringtones, MIDI/MP3/ARM Audio Format

The Snoopy x Katoon Dual SIM Card Cellular Phone is available for pre-order at Dream Kitty and retails for $499.99.

Well for a Snoopy fan like me, this phone is totally adorable, and I really want to have it. But as a smartphone, there is no guarantee if the actual phone itself is any decent, but still it truly is a cellphone for the diehard Snoopy or Peanuts fan.

FireFly GlowPhone for kids

All parents are alike, we want to always be in touch with their kids, make sure they’re OK! Cellphone seems to give us a real opportunity, but somehow we do feel unsafe to give our children an adult cellphone, cause you know, there’s a lot of bad out there, and we do should be aware! So in order to solve the problem, kids cellphone are created, especially made for kids.

The Firefly glowPhone is a nice phone for kids, a significant improvement over the original Firefly phone and is an inexpensive option. The glowPhone has very basic features — no camera or music player, but it does have a built-in flashlight and comes with some games, wallpapers and ringtones. There’s no keypad — the child can call only the numbers that you’ve pre-programmed, and you also can decide to allow incoming calls only from those numbers. Text messaging is supported, but it’s one-way: The child can receive texts but can’t send them. There are two speed-dial buttons with mom and dad icons, but one may say that may be a drawback because not every family is structured that way. However, the one thing that is really a drawback is: there’s no GPS too, which means you can really know where your kids are all the time.

So basically, the glowPhone is a cell phone designed just for kids. And a little too limiting for older kids. It features a full color screen, built-in games, customizable ringtones and wallpaper, and includes parental features to help monitor usage and keep costs under control. The phone is simple, nicely designed and easy to use, but this really is only suitable for very young kids like 5 to 9. But you should know the official number is 8 to 12 which I really doubt, I believe many kids above 9 may resent having such a juvenile-looking device, while peers have something more sophisticated.
